Terrapin Alexei Sancov represented his home country of Moldovia at the European Junior World Championships during the end of June.  There he won gold in the 200m Free setting a new Junior World Record with a time of 1:47.00.  He also earned a silver medal in the 100m Free with a best time of 49.01.
