The Terrapins swam a 3 team Championship meet with the Pleasanton Seahawks and Livermore Aquacowboys May 21st thru May 23rd. The meet was short course for Friday and Saturday and then switched to a long course meter format for Sunday. The team had an outstanding meet but none better than the TERA 13-14 boys.
Aden Li, Mason Wendler, Diego Castaneda, Davidka Skov and Donovan Swann combined to break 3 long standing Pacific Swimming relay records. The TERA 13-14 boys broke the Pacific Record in the 400yd Free relay with a time of 3:15.27(Mason Wendler, Diego Castaneda, Aden Li, Davidka Skov), the Pacific Record in the 200yd Free relay at 1:28.77 (Mason Wendler, Diego Castaneda, Davidka Skov, Donovan Swann) and the Pacific Record in the 200yd medley relay with a time 1:38.53 (Aden Li, Mason Wendler, Diego Castaneda, Donovan Swann).
The 13-14 boys also crushed many personal best times as Diego Castaneda hit 7 best times, Christian Ceja 6 best times, Finn Cleary 2 best times, Aden Li 4 best times, Dominick Maffei 4 best times, Donovan Swann 3 best times, Davidka Skov 3 best times and Mason Wendler 7 best times.
A trio of TERA Breaststrokers also hit some major breakthrough swims by hitting first ever CA/NV Section Championship times in the 200yd breast, which qualify them for the Summer Section meet in Roseville this July. Hitting new Section times were Sofie Curran(16) 2:27.83, Haylee Wong(14) 2:26.18 and Brooke Koller(14) 2:27.39. Brooke’s swim was very noteworthy as she is in her initial year of year round swimming.
